  • 11/03/2026

On 5 March 2026, SEAMLESS was presented at DST in Duisburg, Germany, during an event hosted by DST and the German Association of Inland Ports. The meeting brought together representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Transport and the State Ministry of Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, alongside numerous industry stakeholders and several SEAMLESS partners, including ISL, ZULU and Duisport.

SEAMLESS was introduced by Ann-Sofie Pauwelyn (ZULU), who delivered a presentation on new logistics pathways enabled by automation in Inland Waterway Transport (IWT). The presentation provided detailed insights into Demonstration Use Case 2 (DUC2) and the specific SEAMLESS innovations that will be showcased within this framework. In the subsequent workshops, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on SEAMLESS technologies as well as other emerging innovations shaping the future of inland navigation.

These events mark an important milestone for the project, as they represent the first public occasions where SEAMLESS elaborated on the new DUC2 case, reinforcing its commitment to advancing automated and digitally integrated inland waterway logistics in Europe.
