A great moment at Istanbul 2026!

Giannis Kanellopoulos (NTUA/ICCS) presented his work on “Evaluating the economic performance of automated waterborne seaport hinterland transport” during Session TP3 – Energy, infrastructure & public acceptance for future mobility systems.

The session, focused on “Enhancing transport and mobility beyond the road”, brought together insightful perspectives on how innovation, infrastructure, and societal acceptance are shaping the future of transport systems.

Giannis’ contribution highlighted the economic dimension of autonomous waterborne logistics – a key step towards more efficient, resilient, and sustainable freight transport solutions, in line with the ambitions of the SEAMLESS project.
