SEAMLESS at TRA2026: advancing automated waterborne logistics on Europe’s biggest transport stage

  • 24/04/2026

SEAMLESS will be showcased at the Transport Research Arena (TRA2026), taking place from 18-21 May 2026 in Budapest – Europe’s largest conference on transport research and innovation, bringing together key actors from industry, academia and policy to shape the future of mobility.

The project will be presented at PNO and ALICE booths, highlighting SEAMLESS’ role in advancing automated, resilient and digitally integrated waterborne logistics within the broader European transport ecosystem.

A key highlight of SEAMLESS’ presence at TRA2026 is the presentation of the project paper:

A method to evaluate the logistics performance in automated waterborne transport and logistics cases
by Cyril Alias, Anastasiya Azarko, Vladislav Maraš, Antonio Invito, Angeliki Stouraiti, Jonas Zum Felde, Vasileios C. Podimatas and Harilaos N. Psaraftis.

The paper will be presented on 18 May (17:30-19:00) during Technical Session 2 / Special Session 1, contributing to ongoing discussions on how to assess and optimise performance in increasingly automated logistics systems.

By contributing both at the exhibition and in the technical programme, SEAMLESS reinforces its position at the forefront of innovation in waterborne transport – supporting the transition towards smarter, more efficient and sustainable logistics across Europe.

We look forward to meeting you at TRA 2026!
