SEAMLESS Webinar: End-to-End Trustworthiness in Autonomous Waterborne Logistics
- 04/06/2026
On 15 June 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 CET, SEAMLESS will host the webinar “End-to-End Trustworthiness in Autonomous Waterborne Logistics – Insights from SEAMLESS”, bringing together experts to discuss the cybersecurity, resilience, and trust requirements that underpin the future deployment of autonomous and remotely operated waterborne logistics services.
As autonomous and remotely operated vessels become an increasingly important part of future transport systems, ensuring their cybersecurity, resilience, and trustworthiness is essential for safe and reliable operations. The webinar will explore the key challenges and solutions required to build secure and dependable autonomous maritime logistics ecosystems.
The session will open with a keynote presentation by Dr. Olivier Jacq (Institut de Recherche de l’École Navale), who will provide an overview of the evolving threat landscape for autonomous maritime systems. The presentation will examine emerging cyber risks affecting autonomous vessels, connected port and logistics infrastructures, communication networks, and remote operation centres.
Building on this perspective, Reda Yaich (IRT SystemX) will present how the SEAMLESS project addresses cybersecurity and resilience challenges across autonomous and remotely operated waterborne logistics services. The session will explore how increasing levels of autonomy introduce new vulnerabilities and attack surfaces, including threats targeting sensors, communication systems, AI-enabled decision-making processes, and remote vessel control capabilities.
The webinar will also highlight SEAMLESS’s approach to developing secure, resilient, and trustworthy logistics ecosystems through end-to-end cybersecurity strategies and security-by-design principles. These approaches are essential to ensuring the safe, reliable, and economically viable deployment of autonomous maritime transport services within future multimodal logistics chains.
